Powell Garden 2012
Powell Gardens' history dates to 1948, when the land was purchased by George E. Powell, Sr. This 915-acre tract of land has served as a dairy farm, Boy Scout camp, an agricultural and natural resource center, and since 1988, a botanical garden.

Kauffman Memorial Garden
The Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation was established in the mid-1960s by the late entrepreneur and philanthropist Ewing Marion Kauffman. Based in Kansas City, Missouri, the Kauffman Foundation is among the thirty largest foundations in the United States with an asset base of approximately $2 billion.

The Sedelia State Fair is the showcase for the best in Missouri agriculture. Hundreds of exhibits, from livestock to fine arts, provide an interesting and educational experience. Most buildings are air conditioned and open well into the evening for browsers arriving late in the day.
